Midwest Energy Resources Company (MERC) is a coal blending and transshipment terminal facility located in Superior, Wisconsin. Recently, exporting Western Basin coal to Europe has become a growing segment of the coal industry. In response to this, MERC established partnerships with Class 1 railroads, Great Lakes bulk vessels and the Port of Quebec to create a shipping route that saves on average 5 days over the most common method. In order to help the end users understand the benefits of this particular route, MERC asked Parthé Inc. to produce a sales presentation and video for an international audience, that showed the ease at which this can be accomplished and the benefits of this particular transportation route.
